If using 'Enhanced communications' report reviewers can send messages to either all staff or selected staff regarding errors in take home reports. Messages sent can be reviewed in the internal message page.
Permissions
Required permissions include:
- To send any of these messages you need to be a report manager or school manager.
- To view any of the staff messages on the internal 'View messages' page, you need to either be a report manager or school manager, or have the 'Can view report communications' permission.
- To manage the related enhanced comms templates, you need to either be a report manager or school manager, or have the 'Can view report communications' permission, or have the 'Can manage reports communication templates' permission.
Sending a message

When checking reports access the subject that requires attention.

When in the report editing page reviewing reports the 'Notify teachers' can be used to send a message to the teachers writing the reports.
The button is disabled if the email channel has been disabled on the related template, having a tooltip stating that the email channel has been disabled on the system template. The tooltip includes the name of the template, using the overridden name if it exists
The button is disabled if there are no staff members with a valid email address
A modal will display the names of the teachers who are writing the report.
- Selectable list of all the group teachers and their email address (if they have one)
- If a staff member does not have an email address, they can not be selected
- Select/Deselect all button that:
- If not all valid staff members are selected, it will select all staff members
- If all valid staff members are selected, it will deselect all staff members

Once the teachers are selected the message modal will display to send the message.

A confirmation will display that the message has been sent. If there is an error with the request, an appropriate popup will show the error message.
If the report writing page is toggled to show the 'Tutor view' then all tutors are available to select following the same process as above.

Viewing a sent Report message
The message can be reviewed in People > Communications > View internal messages to access the message listing page. Messages can be selected by date range or area.
Selecting the message enables you to view recipients and the message content. Sent messages will use headers/footers and email address as set up for the Enhanced communications and use a message template set up. The template is the 'Student reports reviewer message'.

- Email channel is enabled by default until overridden
- Emails will have the subject 'GO 4 Schools: Student report ([[ReportName]]) - message from [[SenderName]]' unless overridden, with non-recipient tags substituted
- Emails will have the school header and footer.
- Emails will have the body found below unless overridden, with tags substituted.

Notifications
- Notification channel is disabled by default until overridden
- Even if the app notification channel is enabled and given content, currently unable to send staff app notifications
SMS
- SMS channel is disabled by default until overridden
- Even if the SMS channel is enabled and given content, currently unable to send staff SMS messages
Template
The related template message is 'Student reports reviewer' see article on template messages.
These are tags specific only to these system templates and can be used in the tags list when overriding the template.

- [[ReportName]] will be replaced by the report's name
- [[ReportURL]] will be replaced by the report's URL
- [[SenderName]] will be replaced by the sender's name
- [[YearGroup]] will be replaced by the report's year group
- [[DeadlineDate]] will be replaced by the deadline date of the report
- [[OptionalMessage]] will be replaced by the message entered in the compose message step if there is one entered
